SURFBOARD SPRAY INSPIRED BY TOWN & COUNTRY SURFBOARDS (REEL)

It's been a while since a board with checks come through the factory. They particularly pop when coupled with the bright fluorescent paintwork that was sprayed on the foam before being glassed and sanded.

This look is synonyms with the Hawaiian surfboard company 'Town & Country' and was especially popular in the 1980's. I went to the cinema on Sunday night to watch the excellent 'Girls Can't Surf' . The majority of footage was from the 80's and 90's, so there was plenty of the styles, fashions and surfboard sprays to see from that time.

The reel shows the process of spraying the board, a condensed, and in places sped up version, it actually took quite some time.
